RSWC Academy Learner Code of Conduct

1. Introduction

RSWC Academy, operated by Olutunu Safe Haven Empowerment Foundation ("Olutunu"), is committed to creating a learning environment where every person is treated with dignity, respect, compassion, and fairness.

This Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours and responsibilities expected from all users participating in RSWC Academy activities, including learners, facilitators, trainers, and other authorised users.

By using RSWC Academy, you agree to contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive learning community.

2. Our Learning Community Values

RSWC Academy is built on the values of:

• compassion
• respect
• integrity
• accountability
• inclusion
• safety
• continuous learning

Users are expected to demonstrate these values in their interactions with others.

3. Respect and Dignity

All users must treat others with respect regardless of:

• nationality
• culture
• beliefs
• personal experiences
• professional role

Users must not engage in:

• harassment
• discrimination
• intimidation
• threats
• abusive language
• personal attacks

Differences of opinion should be handled with maturity and respect.

users should:

• communicate respectfully

Many RSWC Academy courses may involve discussions about mental health, trauma, wellbeing, or personal experiences.

Users must:

• avoid sharing another person's personal information
• avoid identifying individuals who share personal experiences
• use sensitive information only for the purpose of learning

Users should not record, copy, distribute, or share private discussions without appropriate permission.

Users are encouraged to:

• engage with content thoughtfully
• respect their own emotional wellbeing
• respect the experiences of others
• approach sensitive discussions with compassion

Users should avoid:

• dismissing another person's experiences
• making harmful assumptions
• providing unsolicited personal judgement or advice

7. Professional Boundaries

RSWC Academy promotes healthy and appropriate relationships between learners, facilitators, trainers, and staff.

Users must maintain appropriate boundaries and must not:

• exploit their role or access
• pressure others into personal disclosures
• engage in inappropriate communication
• misuse professional relationships

Facilitators and learners should maintain professional interactions appropriate to an educational environment.

8. Academic and Learning Integrity

Users are expected to participate honestly and responsibly.

This includes:

• completing learning activities truthfully
• submitting original work where required
• acknowledging sources appropriately
• respecting assessment requirements

Users must not:

• impersonate another learner
• submit another person's work as their own
• share restricted assessment materials

9. Responsible Use of Technology

Users must use RSWC Academy responsibly.

Users must not:

• attempt to access another person's account
• upload harmful or inappropriate material
• misuse platform features
• interfere with the operation or security of the platform

10. Reporting Concerns

Users are encouraged to report concerns involving:

• harassment
• safeguarding issues
• inappropriate behaviour
• privacy concerns
• unsafe learning experiences

Reports will be handled respectfully and in accordance with Olutunu's relevant policies and procedures.

11. Consequences of Violations

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in actions including:

• a reminder of expectations
• removal of inappropriate content
• restriction of participation
• suspension of account access
• removal from courses or programmes

Serious concerns may be referred through appropriate organisational procedures.
